Expedition Colombia creates meaningful adventures built around safety, conservation, community and exploration. For more than 14 years, our certified guides and expedition team have been leading travelers through Colombia's wild rivers, jungles and mountains with a strong focus on responsible and low-impact travel. We work closely with local communities and conservation initiatives to help protect the places we explore while creating meaningful adventures far from mass tourism. From the moment you arrive, you are in good hands.
Safety First
Safety has always been one of the foundations of Expedition Colombia and one of the reasons travelers, filmmakers, scientists, families and international organizations trust us in remote environments across the country. Our guides are highly trained and internationally certified in wilderness first aid, swiftwater rescue, expedition leadership and outdoor safety. We operate with professional-grade equipment, detailed logistics and years of real field experience navigating Colombia's most remote regions. We are also the only certified rafting company operating in the region, something we take seriously and continuously work to maintain through training, preparation and high operational standards.
Conservation
By traveling with Expedition Colombia, you directly support the protection of Colombia's rivers, ecosystems and local communities. Through our non-profit foundation, Fundación Yumana, we support watershed conservation, environmental education, and sustainable river management initiatives throughout Colombia. The foundation connects lawyers, advocates and tourism operators to collaborate with grassroots community leaders influencing river management decisions so that Colombia has swimmable, drinkable and fishable water. By partaking in our tours and sharing your experiences, you are participating in the growing social movement to value Colombia's ecosystems and cultures.
Local Community
Traveling with Expedition Colombia means supporting local economies and helping create opportunities for communities living in some of Colombia's most remote and beautiful regions. Many of our expeditions and projects are built together with the communities themselves, creating authentic experiences while generating real local opportunities. Beyond tourism, we also help organize free river festivals, environmental events and community gatherings for the local communities to reconnect with, celebrate and protect the incredible wild places they call home.
